MKU Triumphs in The 14th KUSF Women’s Championships

Every year on March 8th, the world celebrates International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring the achievements, resilience, and strength of women across all sectors of society. This year’s theme, “Embrace Equity,” served as a powerful backdrop to the 14th annual Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) Women’s Championships held in Meru County. The championships, which took place from March 7th to 8th, were not only a celebration of sportsmanship but also a testament to the evolving role of women in sports, including traditionally male-dominated arenas such as esports. Mount Kenya University (MKU) has been at the forefront of this evolution, with its female athletes, including esports competitors who have represented Kenya on international stages, leading by example.
