The Center for Counseling Services at Mount Kenya University is dedicated to equipping students with the necessary skills to provide support and guidance to their peers. The Peer Counsellors Training program aims to create a network of trained individuals who can assist fellow students facing personal, academic, or emotional challenges.
Driven by the initiative for the students to empower peer students the Center for Counseling Services announces a call for interested students to become peer counsellors. The Peer Counsellors Training for this semester (May/Aug) is open to all students and will be offered at no cost to the students. The training sessions will be conducted from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Interested students are advised to collect and fill out the application forms at the Center for Counseling Services, located on the first floor of the Equip Africa Block. Dully filled forms should be submitted back to the same office on or before Wednesday, 14th June 2023.
Becoming a peer counsellor will allow you to make a positive impact on the well-being of your fellow students and the community at large.
