Mount Kenya University Health Students’ Association (MKUHSA) will be undertaking a three-day (Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th of November 2022) free medical camp at MKU-THIKA HIGH PCEA CHAPEL GROUNDS in conjuction with various partners.
The medical camp will bring together all health science students at Mount Kenya University i.e. students undertaking Medicine & Surgery, Pharmacy, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Community Health, Oral and Dental Sciences, Nutrition & Dietetics, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Management, Health Records and Medical Laboratory as well as faculties from the College of Health Science.
In the commitment to avail high standard of primary healthcare, the three-day free medical camp will target communities in and around Thika.
During the health camp, a team of dedicated health science students and medical professionals will offer diagnosis, health checks, treatment and or referrals to local and specialist hospitals.
We will also use the medical camp to run Public Health campaigns and programmes such as Infection Prevention & Control, Malezi Bora Campaign, Oral Health, Mental Health and Health Insurance.
