Are you ready for MKU Cultural week?

It is that time of the year where pomp and style is brought to you courtesy of talented and creative students who put in their best during this exercise.

Unlike during the period which the pandemic struck the world, this time we can participate, assemble, cheer and show up to this noble exercise in the student calendar. As thus you are all encouraged to grace the event and interact with your colleagues from different schools, different nationalities, different counties and from diverse cultures

To actualize this exercise, the administration through Mount Kenya University Students Association (MKUSA) has unveiled the call for participants for the annual cultural week. Scheduled to begin from Monday 31st October to Friday 4th November 2022 at main Campus- Thika.

This year’s cultural week seeks to celebrate the various aspects of strength energized in diversity. It also seeks to appreciate life in all forms as well as promote cohesion among students as well as staff. The five (5) days event will have different segments including various awards, competitions, recognition and entertainment which will be climaxed by the crowning of Mr. and Miss MKU 2022/2023 as well as crowning of the MR and Miss MKU Special Needs.

The annual event is usually carried out in September-December semester. The event is set to address the rising cases mental illnesses including depression, chronic drug abuse and harness unity through Culture.

The theme of the cultural week will be “EMBRACING OUR CULTURAL HERITAGE”

All students are encouraged to participate and compete for various posts in the available categories. Also, come cheer your friends and colleagues as they showcase their talent.
